Direct Red 181 - Names and Identifiers
Direct Red 181 - Introduction
Direct Red 181 (Direct Red 181) is a kind of dye, which belongs to the azo dye. Its chemical name is 2-[(4-{[2-(2-amino-1-hydroxyethyl)ethyl]amino}phenyl)diazenyl] benzensulfonic acid, the chemical formula is C18H22N4O4S, and has a bright red color.
Direct Red 181 has good light resistance, washing resistance and alkali resistance, and can be used for textile dyeing, silk dyeing, wool fabric, hemp fabric, dyeing of various fiber materials such as cotton fabrics and man-made fibers. It is also widely used in leather dyeing, coloring of paints and inks, and the manufacture of water-based inks.
The method for preparing Direct Red 181 is to react aniline with a diamine compound (such as ethylenediamine) to generate an intermediate, and then to generate the final dye product through an azotization reaction.
When using Direct Red 181, care should be taken to avoid contact with skin, eyes and taking. Appropriate protective measures, such as gloves and goggles, should be worn to reduce the risk of exposure. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention if necessary.
In addition, Direct Red 181 may have certain toxic effects on the environment. Therefore, the use and handling of the dye should comply with the relevant environmental regulations to ensure that pollution to the environment is avoided.
